Master of Science in Commodity Trading

The University of Geneva Master of Science in Commodity Trading was created in 2008 with professionals through the STSA. This program is taught in English during an intensive 12-months academic course combined with part-time job position in a commodity trading and finance related company. This program combines therefore the academic rigor of a 90ETCS Master level course with practical on-the-job experience.

The academic curriculum consists of 2 semesters of courses including components of trading; commodity hedging and price risk; commodity finance and financial risk management.

Special attention is paid to the selection of the most renowned teachers and guest speakers. The aim is to provide students with the highest academic standards with the selection of faculties known for their knowledge in a particular domain. To complete the learning experience, professionals from the industry are invited to expose participants to practical considerations and examples. It is a powerful mix.

Diploma of Advanced Studies in Commodity Trading

Dedicated to employees having already several years of experience within commodity trading or related services, this program can also provide the opportunity to change business direction for professionals active in other sectors.

The Commodity Trading Diploma is designed for those who would like to further their education in the area of commodity trading, or for those who are considering making a career change and would like to work in the field.

GSEM Executive, University of Geneva and the Swiss Trading and Shipping Association (STSA) have joined together to create the Diploma in Advanced studies in Commodity Trading. Created with and for professionals, the diploma is conducted to best fit with the demands of working while studying.

You have already three years of work experience and you wish to strengthened or acquire new skills? The Executive Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Commodity Trading is what you are looking for! The DAS has two formats: biweekly and block format both programs run over a year.
